We hope you will bond with hundreds of committed Christians as we pray in one accord for our great state of Ohio.
Through the power and strength of the Holy Spirit, this inter-denominational and multicultural event crosses racial and cultural barriers to strengthen one another as we honor the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer and thanksgiving.
Seven Areas of Prayer
Our time together is a solemn assembly to cover seven important areas of influence that affect our society. Moreover, there will be no preaching, teaching or personal promotion by anyone. Anointed musicians will lead us in worshipful songs of praise at regular intervals throughout the day.
Bring a Prayer Team
Of course, you can come by yourself and join one of the prayer circles. Better yet, bring a prayer team of 5-10 people from your church or small group.
Prayer Circles
The format of our day together is simple. A pastor or representative will introduce briefly each new area for corporate prayer. Then participants within a circle will take turns for each new topic that is introduced. A coordinator will facilitate prayer within each group. These intimate prayer sessions last 10-15 minutes, thus giving each person in the circle an opportunity to pray aloud for one or two minutes.
There is power in agreement as we “Amen” each other’s proclamation of scripture or earnest heartfelt expression.
Call Unto Me ...
God told Jeremiah, “Call unto me and I will answer you” (Jeremiah 33:3). Ohio has witnessed great revivals over the years. It’s time for a fresh visitation of the Lord!
John 17:21 (NIV) that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
Join Us
So, dear pastor or prayer partner, your participation and promotion of the 2011 Columbus Prayer Summit will certainly enhance the prayer culture at a time when we need it most!
We welcome you and your congregation to join forces for a united front. However, if you are unable to stay the entire day, you are welcome to join anytime and leave as your schedule permits.
